A Lovely Large Wally Dog

This large Victorian Staffordshire Spaniel has such a lovely warm expression, and would originally been one of a pair for a mantelpiece in a Victorian home.  Always with a gold chain and locket, they were very popular and were always hand decorated, with a wide range of individual expressions.  This one has a peachy nose and exquisite facial details.  The gold chain is a little worn, but it is otherwise in good vintage condition
